Abstract: Layered double hydroxides (Ni–Al, Mg–Al, and Mg–Fe hydrotalcite-like compounds) prepared by continuous coprecipitation with a short residence time (τ = 1 s) form stable colloidal dispersions and impervious solids due to variation in the mechanism of inter-crystallite interactions from those of the LDHs obtained with longer residence times.
